About Janice Soucey

Janice Soucey Charlotte based artist, Janice Soucey has an eye for fine detail and an eclectic taste in medium, working in watercolor, oil, acrylic and collage. Born and raised in the South, she’s lived on both coasts but makes her home outside of Charlotte, North Carolina. A lover of art from the first time she opened a box of new crayons, she dedicated the early part of her college career earning an Associate’s Degree in Fine Arts. From college to now, Janice has always continued to create art whether on canvas or in the kitchen. She is a frequent participant in local art exhibitions winning an Honorable Mention for “Pears”, a minimalist watercolor painting. Most recently she has been exploring expressionistic painting, lino cut prints and relaxing with collages.
